If the reality is as mentioned that the husband divorced his wife only because of these letters which he thought to be true, but were then found to be false, his Talaq does not count. (Part No. 20; Page No. 166) This Talaq falls under the 'conditional divorce' which becomes effective when a certain condition occurs and in this case, the condition has not occurred. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, his family, and Companions.
