Talking to the sister-in-law

502

Q 1: Is it permissible to talk to one's sister-in-law?

A: It is permissible to talk to one's sister-in-law according to necessity if she wears the Hijab (veil) and there is no fear of Fitnah (temptation), provided that it is without Khulwah (being alone with a member of the opposite sex). May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
