Q: Would you please answer me as soon as possible:
if an inheritance comes from a Haram (unlawful) source, is it permissible for the inheritors to take it?
A:
If the whole inheritance comes from a Haram source, it is not permissible for any of the inheritors to take any of it. They have to return it to its rightful owners as far as they can, or else spend the Haram money on charitable causes with the intention that it be on behalf of those who do have rights in it. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
