It is not permissible
to observe Sawm on the Day of `Eid. Observing Sawm on this day does not suffice (Part No. 10; Page No. 407) for making up for the obligatory days of Sawm you missed. As for the patient within your company who cannot observe Sawm, he is permitted to break Sawm and make up for the missed days later if he can observe Sawm.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
