It is not permissible for the woman to do so, because tying the dog and leaving it in the desert
involves torturing it. In such a case, the Shari`ah (Islamic law) encourages killing it immediately. Therefore, if the woman knows that the dog is still alive, she must untie it and kill it as soon as possible. If the dog died, she should repent to Allah, seek His forgiveness, regret doing this action and determine not to do it again.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions!
