It is permissible
to treat a patient possessed by Jinn by reciting Ayahs or Surahs over them, because Ruqyah (recitation for healing or protection) with the Qur'an is prescribed by Shari‘ah (Islamic law). As to the descent of Jibril for this, it has absolutely no basis in Shari`ah, as far as we know.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
