Wanting to perform Hajj but having a brother or a neighbor suffering from dangerous disease and cannot afford treatment

Q 2: What is the ruling on a person, who wants to perform Hajj but has a brother or a neighbor who is suffering from dangerous disease and cannot afford the necessary treatment and medical care? Should the person in question perform Hajj or help the sick brother?

A: If the person has not performed the obligatory Hajj, he should perform the Hajj whenever he has the prerequisites of obligation. But if it is a voluntary Hajj, he should help the ill person who is in dire need of help, as this is better than performing voluntary Hajj.May Allah grant us success.
