Q 8: What is the ruling on
women wearing their cloaks over their shoulders?
A:
It is not permissible for women to wear their cloaks over their shoulders when going out because this entails imitating men. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) cursed women who wear men's attire, and the men who wear women's attire. It is Allah one who guides to the Straight Path. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet, his family and Companions.
