My wife is suffering from severe hair loss and she was advised to cut her hair short to reduce this loss.
Is this permissible?

All praise be to Allah Alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, and his family and Companions.
If the matter is as you mentioned, it is permissible for her to cut her hair, because this will protect her from harm. (Part No. 5; Page No. 183) May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
