Women going out to offer condolences

Q 5: Is it permissible for a woman to go out with other women or one of her Mahrams (spouse or permanently unmarriageable relative) to offer condolences or not? Can some people such as her mother, father and sister be exempted or it is impermissible in all cases?


A: It is permissible for a woman to go out to offer condolences as long as nothing unlawful is involved such as applying perfume or displaying charms or the likes which stirs (Part No. 9; Page No. 132) temptation.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
