Women riding alone with a driver

Q: I am not able to drive my car and none of my children can do this due to their young age. Therefore, I brought a foreign driver. Is it permissible for that driver to drive the car for my wife? What is the ruling on a non-Mahram (not a spouse or an unmarriageable relative) driver? Answer my question, may Allah reward you well.

A: It is prohibited for a non-Mahram driver to be alone with a woman. If a woman wants to ride a car, a Mahram (spouse or permanently unmarriageable relative) has to accompany her. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
