The owner of the money is obliged to pay Zakah for his capital, and he is not absolved of this obligation except by doing so. As for
the mentioned debtor, he is obliged to pay Zakah for his debt together with its profits, like the rest of his money that is liable to Zakah.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
