Q 2: What is the ruling on an Imam saying "O Allah avert all the evils You send down this night from the Muslims" during Qunut (supplication recited while standing after bowing in the last unit of Prayer)?


A: There is nothing wrong with this supplication as the Imam is asking Allah (Exalted be He) to bestow goodness on him and avert evil from him and the Muslims. These, and all matters are controlled by Allah (Glorified be He).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and Companions!
