Q 4: How many Rak`ahs are there in Salat-ul-Istisqa' (Prayer for rain)? Which Surahs are preferred for recitation? Is it Sirri Salah ( inaudible Prayer ) or Jahri Salah (audible)?

A: Salat-ul-Istisqa' consists of two Rak`ahs and the recitation is audible in following with the example of the Prophet (peace be upon him).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
