Discussing worldly matters in the Masjid

421

A: It is not permissible to turn Masjids into places of selling and trading or any other worldly matters where voices become loud. Masjids are built for performing Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah), reciting the Qur'an, and performing Salah. However, there is nothing wrong with occasionally speaking of worldly affairs in a way that does not distract servants from prayers or recitation of the Qur'an.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
