Q 9: Is it permissible for a man to be an Imam for a congregational Salah (prayer) while he is Junub (in a state of major ritual impurity) because (Part No. 7; Page No. 383) there is no water?


A: It is permissible for a person who is permitted to perform Tayammum (dry ablution) due to the nonexistence of water or his inability to use it because of being sick or fearing that using water may cause him harm to be an Imam in Salah for a person who performs Wudu' (ablution).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
