Supplication said in Sujud

611

A: During Sujud, he (peace be upon him) used to say, "Glory be to my Lord most high," and supplicate, O Allah, forgive me all my sins, minor and major, first and last, open and secret. Furthermore, he used to say, All Glorious, All Holy, Lord of the Angels and the Spirit. And, Glory be to You, O Allah, our Lord, and praise be to You, O Allah, forgive me. (Part No. 6; Page No. 439) It is authentically narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, The nearest a servant comes to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself, so make many supplications (in this state). (Narrated by Muslim) This Hadith shows that it is permissible to make many good supplications during Sujud whether the Salah you performed is Fard (obligatory) or Nafl (supererogatory).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
