Like any other human remains, every martyr’s remains should be buried in a separate grave. However, if it is very difficult to bury them in separate graves, such as when there are many dead people due to an epidemic, fighting, or other reason, there is nothing wrong with burying two or three people in the same grave. The most pious of them should be placed the closest to the Qiblah (direction faced for Prayer towards the Ka‘bah), as the Prophet (peace be upon him) did with the martyrs of the Battle of
Uhud. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
