I am sometimes unaware of the Salah

408

Q 1: I do not offer the Fajr (dawn) Prayer at the prescribed time, because I wake up too late because I sleep too deeply. I set an alarm clock to wake me up at the exact time of the Salah (prayer), but to no avail. If it is a sin to delay Salah due to being asleep, what can I do to make up for this? I am waiting for your advice, and may Allah reward you!

A: [As a man] you should offer the Salah at the prescribed time in congregation with other Muslims in the Masjid (mosque). You should try hard to do this, whether by going to sleep earlier or asking your family, neighbors, or friends to wake you up. You have no excuse for continuing in this way.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
