Q 4: Is it permissible to form a barrier between men and women during Salah (Prayer) in Ramadan and at other times?


A: It is permissible to separate between men and women with a piece of cloth or so in Ramadan or at any other time, whether in obligatory or supererogatory Salah. However, if women offer Salah behind men without a barrier, it is permissible as well, provided that they wear the veil. This was the way they did it in the era of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and his Sahabah (Companions, may Allah be pleased with them). This matter is flexible, praise be to Allah.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
