Some people say: "Whoever dies in a car accident is a martyr and will receive the same reward as a martyr." Is this saying valid?
A:
We hope for him to receive the same reward as a martyr. A person who dies in a car accident is similar to a person who dies from a building falling over him. It was authentically reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) considered such a person to be a martyr.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
