Ruling on adults who neglect Salah

515

Q 5: I am a mother of adult sons who live with me in the same house. When the time of Salah (Prayer) is due, I wake them up to offer Salah, (Part No. 5; Page No. 33) but they sometimes wake up and at other times refuse to wake up. Sometimes they do not offer Friday Prayer.Am I committing a sin because of my children? And is it permissible for me to eat with them?

A: You should continue advising your sons and ordering them to offer Salah and be patient with them. As for eating with them, there is no harm in it if you advise them and disapprove of their deeds.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
