Saying Basmalah secretly or loudly at the beginning of Salah?

Q 4: Did the Messenger (peace be upon him) use to begin the Salah (Prayer) with In the Name of Allâh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful or with All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, the Lord of the ‘Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists). ?

A: We know of no evidence affirming that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to begin the recitation during Jahri Salah (Prayer recited out loud) by saying out loud: "In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful". An authentic Hadith indicates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to begin by saying out loud: "All praise and thanks are due to Allah, the Lord of the `Alamin," and saying "In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" inaudibly.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
