It was narrated in an authentically reported Sunnah that it is prohibited to tuck in one's garment. What does this mean?
A:
It is narrated in the two Sahih (authentic) Books of Hadith on the authority of
Ibn `Abbas that the Prophet (peace be upon him) stated:
I have been ordered to perform Sujud (Prostration) on seven bones, and not to tuck in garments or the hair.
What is meant by tucking here is holding them so that they do not fall over the place of Salah (Prayer).May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
